David Sullivan: West Ham United closing in on "big name" signing

West Ham United co-owner David Sullivan reveals that the club are closing in on a "big name" signing, which he is hopeful will be completed within three weeks.

West Ham United co-owner David Sullivan has disclosed that the club are targeting a "big name" signing in the next two to three weeks.

The Hammers finished in 12th place in the Premier League, but still qualified for the Europa League via the top-flight's Fair Play table.

Sullivan has revealed that the club are prepared to announce one signing and are closing in on another high-profile name, despite being without a manager after Sam Allardyce left the Hammers at the end of the campaign.

He told the club's official website: "We hope to announce our first signing in the next 24 hours and follow that up with a big name in the next two or three weeks."

West Ham have reportedly targeted Carlo Ancelotti as Allardyce's replacement after he was sacked by Real Madrid.
