West Ham United have reportedly upped their interest in signing Rennes defender Nayef Aguerd before the end of the summer.
While the Hammers have endured a quiet transfer window, a number of additions are expected as they prepare to feature in the Europa League.
West Ham have been linked with a number of centre-backs, including Kurt Zouma who has been available by London rivals Chelsea.
However, according to Football Insider, David Moyes has set his sights on securing the services of Aguerd for £15m.
The 25-year-old established himself as Rennes' key defender during the last campaign, making a total of 39 appearances in all competitions.
Although Aguerd still has three years left on his contract, Rennes may be open to cashing in on one of their most prized assets.
