Wolverhampton Wanderers interim manager Terry Connor has admitted that he is enjoying life at the relegation-threatened club.
The 49-year-old was given the job last month after being promoted from sacked Mick McCarthy's backroom staff.
Despite being bottom of the Premier League table, Connor insists that he is making the most of the situation.
"I would say being a manager has been more than what I expected," he said. "I've watched other managers work and the responsibilities that come with being a manager.
"You can attend as many management courses as you like but, when it's on your head and your responsibility, nothing could prepare you for that.
"I'm still enjoying it. I know it's difficult times and didn't expect to walk in to a Premier League job when a team has won six on the bounce, but you take your opportunity when it comes and try and make the most of it."
The Midlands club next host fellow strugglers Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.
