Lazio have reportedly identified Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Leander Dendoncker as a potential summer transfer target.
Despite not always commanding a starting role, Dendoncker has been an invaluable member of Wolves's first-team squad since August 2018, making a total of 149 appearances in all competitions.
Wolves are currently in a position where they need to make a decision on the Belgium international's future, with just over 15 months remaining on his contract at a time when other midfielders could be departing Molineux.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Lazio are ready to complicate matters by weighing up an approach for the 27-year-old ahead of 2022-23.
As well as the Italian giants being long-term admirers of Dendoncker, head coach Maurizio Sarri is said to be keen on signing someone of the player's profile.
Although Wolves have allowed the likes of Romain Saiss and Joao Moutinho reach the latter weeks of their contract, they are highly unlikely to take such an approach to Dendoncker's future given his age and higher valuation.
