Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Rafa Mir joins Las Palmas on loan

Premier League new boys Wolverhampton Wanderers announce that striker Rafa Mir will spend the 2018-19 season on loan at Spanish club Las Palmas.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed that striker Rafa Mir will spend the 2018-19 season on loan at Spanish club Las Palmas.

The 21-year-old joined Wolves in January from Valencia in a €1.5m (£1.3m) deal but was limited to just two substitute appearances in the Championship, totalling 29 minutes of action.

Wolves, who will be playing in the Premier League next season after finishing top of the second tier, confirmed the move in a brief statement on their official website.

The West Midlanders wrote: "Mir has four years left on his Molineux contract but will spend the next season in La Liga 2 with Las Palmas.

"Wolves would like to wish Rafa the best of luck during his loan spell away from the club."

Prior to joining Wolves, Mir impressed for Valencia B in the first half of last season, scoring 15 goals in 19 appearances.
