Catalan Dragons have held on to beat Salford City Reds 40-18 this afternoon.
Salford's Stuart Howarth handed the Reds a lead when he touched down with ten minutes gone, allowing Daniel Holdsworth to add two more to their total.
However, the home side struck back through tries from Vincent Dupport and Scott Dureau. Damien Blanch added to their total, before Thomas Bosc and Leon Pryce put them all but unreachable at half time by adding their fourth and fifth tries of the afternoon.
Dupport touched down for his second try of the game after the break to take their lead to 26 points, before Dureu made his fourth conversion for another two.
Josh Veivers scored Salford's first points of the second half with 20 minutes to go, with Holdsworth following up with his second successful conversion. Gareth Owen then touched down to cut the hosts' lead in half. before Holdsworth fired them back to within touching distance.
Nonetheless, Daryl Millard almost instantly fired back for the hosts after Dupport completed his hat-trick to seal the game.
