Terry Campese "can't wait" for Hull derby showdown

Hull Kingston Rovers skipper Terry Campese is eager to make an impact in this evening's "huge game" against Hull FC.

Captain Terry Campese is hoping to celebrate penning a new deal at Hull Kingston Rovers by helping the club claim bragging rights against rivals Hull FC.

The two sides meet at the KC Stadium this evening, with just two points separating the pair heading into the Super League showdown.

Campese, who initially joined the Robins on a 12-month deal in January before agreeing fresh terms this week, says that he is eager to make a mark in his first competitive meeting against the Black and Whites.

"I can't wait for it. I've already seen the banter building up between both sides and the whole city stops for this," he told The Yorkshire Post.

"It's going to be a huge game and I think there will be a massive defensive focus from each going into it. Where we are both in the table, also, means it is going to be important for us both, too."

Hull FC thrashed their rivals 28-0 in the last meeting between the pair.
