James Haskell, Dylan Hartley and Chris Ashton apologise to a female hotel worker following inappropriate comments.

James Haskell, Dylan Hartley and Chris Ashton have been reprimanded by England coach Martin Johnson following inappropriate comments they made to a female hotel worker.

All three have been made to formally apologise to Annabel Newton, the female in question.

"I was angry with them. It is just the sort of thing we have talked about," Johnson told a press conference.

"What they thought was humour and a light-hearted exchange has clearly not been taken that way by Annabel, the girl involved.

"At the time they apologised when they realised they had stepped over the mark. They had no idea how upset she subsequently became."

The incident took place on the same evening that Mike Tindall, married to Zara Phillips, was caught on video having his head kissed by women in a bar.
