France prop expects a passionate final

Nicolas Mas expects both France and New Zealand to show plenty of passion in Sunday's World Cup final.

France prop Nicolas Mas expects Sunday's World Cup final against New Zealand to be a passionate affair.

New Zealand will start as huge favourites when the two sides meet for the William Webb Ellis Trophy in Auckland.

The All Blacks defeated France 37-17 during the pool stages of the competition and Mas knows the test that awaits his side on Sunday.

"They have a strong scrum - they put a lot of time and effort into it," he said.

"They are used to coming in strong and coming in fast. The difficulty in playing against them is meeting their speed. They do not give you much time to move them, and then they free the ball up very quickly.

"Two teams want to win, and they will do everything in their power to win - that is the aggression and the passion. There will be a huge amount of passion involved."

Mas currently plays his club rugby for French side Perpignan.
