Ospreys coach Sean Holley says the club has banned fake tan and coloured boots.

Ospreys have banned their players from wearing fake tan and coloured boots as they attempt to move away from their 'Galacticos' tag.

The Swansea-based club have reportedly used the departure of high-profile names such as Gavin Henson, James Hook and Lee Byrne to create a new image.

"We want our supporters to see that our players work hard, that they're not flash in any way," said head coach Sean Holley.

"The fake tan and the coloured boots and the Galacticos label doesn't interest us really. We've banned the tan. It's real tan only.

"And you are only allowed to wear coloured boots if you've played over 50 times for the Ospreys or over 15 times for your country."

The Ospreys are top of the Pro12 table with 24 points from seven matches so far this season.
