Sam Parry leaves Newport-Gwent Dragons for Ospreys

Ospreys announce the signing of young Newport-Gwent Dragons hooker Sam Parry on a four-year deal.

Newport-Gwent Dragons hooker Sam Parry will join Pro12 rivals Ospreys in the summer after agreeing to move to the Liberty Stadium on a four-year contract.

The 22-year-old, who is currently part of the Wales squad preparing to defend their Six Nations title, has revealed that he is delighted with his decision to move.

He said: "I feel this is the right place for me to continue improving and develop as a young rugby player, working day in, day out with top quality coaches and players.

"My long term ambitions as a player are to be involved in an Ospreys team that will continue to challenge for success and silverware year on year and, also, to hopefully make the step up to the next level and become a Welsh international."

Parry has made 48 appearances in his Dragons career to date.
