South Africa coach Heyneke Meyer has insisted that he is "totally committed to transformation" following reported concerns over the racial diversity of the team.
The Congress of South African Trade Unions recently claimed that five players had approached them expressing doubts over the speed of transformation within the national side.
Despite questions over the makeup of the Springboks, Meyer has said that he only chooses the best players and does not base any of his decision making on skin colour.
"A lot of the players came out and supported us. You're always going to get players that are unhappy if they don't play," he is quoted as saying by ESPN.
"I don't look at colour, I look at the best players. I'm totally committed to transformation and I have a great relationship with my players. We're all South Africans and we're all there as a team to do the best for our country. We have to back each other in this country as players."
South Africa continue their preparations for the Rugby World Cup on Saturday when they face Argentina in Buenos Aires.
