Warren Gatland has admitted that he would like the opportunity to take charge of the British & Irish Lions.
The current Welsh coach has been touted as potential leader for when the Lions tour Australia next year.
Gatland is excited by the prospect and believes that the Welsh Rugby Union would have no problem with him taking on the temporary role.
"I think that Wales have always been incredibly supportive of the Lions and if there was that chance that the Lions wanted me to be involved then I don't think there would be a negative hindrance by the Welsh Rugby Union for me to do that," he told a press conference.
Gatland guided Wales to the semi-final of the recent World Cup.
