Caroline Wozniacki makes light work of Monica Niculescu in round three of the Australian Open.

Number one seed Caroline Wozniacki made light work of Monica Niculescu in round three of the Australian Open, securing a routine 6-2 6-2 victory.

Wozniacki, who made the semi-finals in 2011, proved too strong from the onset, breaking twice in the opening set.

The Pole, 21, was made to work for the second set but she broke twice again to secure the final set 6-2 and book her place in the next round.

The comfortable score line was perhaps slightly harsh on the Romanian, who made just 16 unforced errors to Wozniacki's 13.

Wozniacki turned professional in 2005.
