Ivan Dodig has eased past Dan Evans to level things up between Croatia and Great Britain in their Davis Cup World Group playoff tie.
Andy Murray had earlier given the visitors the advantage, but Evans never looked likely to double Great Britain's lead, falling to a 6-3 6-2 6-3 loss.
Evans started brightly, but he was struggling to threaten the Dodig serve, and the world number 35 broke once to take the set.
Dodig continued to look a player who was 114 places above Evans in the world rankings during the second set, breaking twice to move one away from the match.
Evans fell 5-2 behind in the third, and despite saving two match points, Dodig took the third with a volley to bring his side level after the first day.
