Kyle Edmund "excited" by Nick Kyrgios challenge

Kyle Edmund says that he is looking forward to taking on Australian Nick Kyrgios in the second round of this year's French Open.

British qualifier Kyle Edmund has said that he is looking forward to playing Nick Kyrgios in the second round of the French Open.

The 20-year-old came through five sets to claim victory against Stephane Robert in the first round at Roland Garros, in what was his first win at a Grand Slam.

"I'm excited," Edmund told ITV Sport. "He's an extremely good player, done well recently and has got a big serve. I'm going to work out a gameplan and look at what I can do better."

Edmund is the British number four and his win against Robert will now move him into the top 100 in the world rankings.
