Fabio Fognini has hailed the past few days in Germany as "amazing" for him.
The Italian won the Mercedes Cup in Stuttgart last weekend and backed that up yesterday afternoon when he claimed the German Championship title at the expense of Federico Delbonis in Hamburg.
He had to save three match points during a second-set tie-break against the Argentine, before going on to win 4-6 7-6 6-2.
"It's an amazing week. I can't believe it right now. I just feel incredible, a real good sensation. I'm very happy," he told reporters.
"I was, I think, a little bit lucky. I was nervous. Today, I didn't play really good, but I fought hard. I think that was the key.
"Another trophy, that's the important thing. I want to enjoy [this] as soon as possible. I fly to Umag tomorrow and have another chance to play."
The success earned Fognini around £240,000 in prize money.
