Jelena Jankovic has reached the quarter-finals of the Rome Masters with a straight-sets win over China's Li Na.
It started badly for the Serb as she was broken in the very first game and quickly found herself 2-0 down.
However, she fought off further break points in her next service game before managing to put things back on serve with a strong break for 2-2.
After losing her serve again Li saved five set points at 5-4 with the first set finally decided on a tie-break, which Jankovic took 7-2.
The second set went with serve until Jankovic battled to a break at the 11th time of asking in the seventh game and she held her nerve, despite being broken again, to take the match 7-6 7-5.
