Andy Murray is keen for his positive form in Asia over the last three weeks to continue for the remainder of 2011.
The 24-year-old Briton has won three titles in the Far East, the latest of which was the Shanghai Masters earlier today.
The victory has lifted Andy Murray up to third in the world for the first time and he has now set his sights on securing that position.
"I served very well, especially when I was down in games. I served well all week," he told Sky Sports News after beating David Ferrer.
"You want to be number one but, after the US Open, that wasn't possible. I want to finish the year at three, I've not done that before. It's not done yet and I need to win more matches.
"I want to keep my run going but I'm very happy with the way I'm playing."
Murray was also victorious in recent tournaments in Thailand and Japan.
