Thomas Vermaelen has urged Arsenal to create a winning performance for the second leg of their Champions League match with AC Milan after disappointing supporters at the San Siro.
The Gunners stumbled to a heavy 4-0 defeat in Italy, which has greatly diminished their hopes of reaching the quarter-finals of the elite tournament.
"We have another game and the only thing we can do is show our pride and give 100%," Vermaelen told the club's official website. "That is what we have to do.
"We have to give something back to the fans who came all the way here, we disappointed them. The only thing we can do is try to get a good result in the home game.
"The fans supported us all the way to Milan and we disappointed them, which is not good. We will try to give them something back when we next play at home."
Meanwhile, the North London side switch their focus to the FA Cup as they prepare to take on Premier League rivals Sunderland in the fifth round.
