Theo Walcott: Draw against Manchester United "feels like a win"

Theo Walcott hails the "crucial point" claimed by Arsenal at Old Trafford in their meeting against Manchester United.

Theo Walcott has claimed that Arsenal's draw against Manchester United this evening "feels like a win" due to the nature of the 1-1 tie.

The England international played a key part in earning a point for his side when introduced in the second half, with his shot deflecting in off Tyler Blackett to cancel out Ander Herrera's earlier opener.

Arsenal remain two points ahead of their opponents in the league table, knowing that victory over Sunderland in midweek will secure an automatic path into the Champions League next season.

"We've come to Old Trafford and got a positive result," Walcott told Sky Sports News. "At times we didn't play well but you could see that in the last 20 minutes we were very strong. We showed how fit we are as a team.

"We've got a game in hand over United now and it was a crucial point, knowing that. We just need one more point because of goal difference. It feels like a win for us today."

Following their midweek fixture against the Black Cats, Arsenal play host to West Bromwich Albion on the final weekend of the season.
