Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger: 'Home victories key to success'

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that the club's fans are owed a good performance by his team, stating that home victories are crucial to a successful season.

Arsene Wenger has said that Arsenal fans are owed good performances by his side, adding that winning home fixtures i crucial to his team's success over the season.

The 65-year-old wants his players to perform to a high standard at the Emirates, stating it is time that his players delivered a quality performance following the 2-0 home defeat to West Ham United on the opening day of the season.

"We missed our first game and we had to look at ourselves. I believe we responded very well at Crystal Palace. Now we need to come back to our usual strength that we have at home," the Frenchman stated at a press conference.

"For us against Liverpool is an important game because we know that a successful season is linked with our home strength and normally we are strong at home. This is an opportunity to show that.

"I believe that fans deserve a good home and away performance. We are here for that. Our job is to make people who love this club happy. When you don't do it, of course you feel guilty."

Arsenal go in search of their first home victory this season against Liverpool on Monday night.
