Aaron Ramsey returns from a calf injury to start for Arsenal in Sunday's Premier League home game against West Ham United.

Aaron Ramsey has returned from a calf injury to start for Arsenal in Sunday's Premier League home game against West Ham United.

The Welshman suffered a gash on his leg during the 2-2 draw at CSKA Moscow but is back to fitness in the Gunners' first game since Arsene Wenger announced his intention to step down.

Wenger has made five changes following last week's 2-1 defeat at Newcastle United, with starts also for David Ospina, Hector Bellerin, Laurent Koscielny and Danny Welbeck.

Petr Cech is absent with a hip injury, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is among the substitutes, and Jack Wilshere is on the sidelines with an ankle injury.

David Moyes, meanwhile, has named the same XI which grabbed a late 1-1 draw with Stoke City on Monday.

Andy Carroll remains on the bench as he continues to return from injury, despite scoring a last-minute equaliser at the London Stadium, while Joe Hart is retained in goal despite his mistake during that game.

Arsenal: Ospina; Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal; Xhaka, Elneny; Iwobi, Ramsey, Welbeck; Lacazette
Subs: Macey, Mertesacker, Holding, Chambers, Maitland-Niles, Nelson, Aubameyang

West Ham United: Hart; Ogbonna, Rice, Cresswell; Zabaleta, Masuaku, Kouyate, Noble; Fernandes, Mario; Arnautovic
Subs: Adrian, Evra, Cullen, Hugill, Lanzini, Carroll, Hernandez
