Arsenal have reportedly made formal contact with Reims over a deal for defender Axel Disasi.
The 22-year-old has been in impressive form for the French outfit during the 2019-20 campaign, making 27 Ligue 1 appearances in the heart of a Reims defence that has conceded just 21 league goals this term.
The Gunners supposedly had a bid rejected for the Frenchman back in January, but the North London outfit are said to have stepped up their pursuit of the centre-back ahead of this summer's transfer window.
According to Goal, Arsenal have made formal contact with the Ligue 1 side, but could face stiff competition for Disasi's signature.
Indeed, the report claims that Monaco, West Ham United and Southampton are all monitoring the situation, with Disasi said to be an attractive option for many clubs due to his £13m price tag.
The former France Under-20 international is out of contract at Reims next summer.
