Arsenal 'make enquiry' to Manchester City over Alvaro Negredo

Arsenal reportedly submit an enquiry to Manchester City over the availability of Spanish forward Alvaro Negredo.

Arsenal have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Alvaro Negredo from Manchester City on transfer deadline day.

The Gunners are a little light in attack after the long-term injury suffered by Olivier Giroud and Spanish striker Negredo could be available to leave City after just one season at the Etihad.

talkSPORT commentator Stan Collymore revealed on Twitter that Arsenal could be his next destination.

"Hearing Arsenal have or are making tentative Negredo enquiries," said Collymore.

The 29-year-old, who is currently nursing a metatarsal injury, has also been linked with La Liga outfit Valencia.
