Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Athletic Bilbao.
At the start of the season, Monreal was linked with a return to La Liga, but the player has since gone on to become one of Arsene Wenger's most consistent performers of the campaign.
The 31-year-old has made a total of 20 starts in the Premier League, but it appears that his form has led to interest from Bilbao.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Monreal features on Bilbao's list of possible replacements for Aymeric Laporte, who is expected to sign for Manchester City.
Real Sociedad defender Inigo Martinez has also been linked with a transfer, but it has been suggested that Monreal is likely to emerge as the main target.
Monreal previously spent time at Osasuna and Malaga before signing for Arsenal in 2013.
