Chelsea make formal approach for Brentford winger Said Benrahma?

Chelsea allegedly up their interest in Brentford winger Said Benrahma by holding talks with the player's representatives.

Chelsea have allegedly instigated discussions with the representatives of Brentford winger Said Benrahma.

After contributing 10 goals and seven assists in the Championship this season, Benrahma is attracting widespread interest from the Premier League.

However, despite Arsenal, Leicester City and Aston Villa being said to be admirers, RMC Sport journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi claims that the Blues have upped their interest in the Algerian.

On Twitter, Bouhafski said: "Chelsea have entered into talks with Said Benrahma's representatives. Chelsea have formally expressed an interest in the player to Brentford. Leicester and Arsenal interested."

Benrahma still has two years left on his contract at Griffin Park.
