Former Lyon boss Claude Puel urges Barcelona to move for Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette.

Former Lyon boss Claude Puel has urged Barcelona to make a move for Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette.

The France international has scored 36 times in 87 appearances for Arsenal since arriving from Lyon in the summer of 2017.

Barca have been credited with an interest in the 27-year-old as a potential replacement for Luis Suarez.

Puel handed Lacazette his debut at Lyon and the 57-year-old, who left his position with Leicester City in February, has insisted that the Frenchman is good enough for the La Liga champions.

"Lacazette can be a player like Luis Suarez. He can go into the midfield a little and ask to get the ball in space. For me, he could do very, very well in Barcelona," Puel told El Pais.

Lacazette was named Arsenal's Player of the Season for the 2018-19 campaign, having scored 19 goals and registered 13 assists in 49 games in all competitions.
