Arsenal have reportedly pulled out of the race for Samuel Umtiti after learning of the Barcelona defender's wage demands.
The Gunners are one of a number of teams to have been linked with the France international, who has struggled for playing time at Camp Nou since returning from injury earlier in the season.
Spanish outlet Sport suggests that Arsenal have ended their pursuit of Umtiti, however, because of his near £7m-a-year salary, on top of the £43.5m that Barca are asking for.
The same report indicates that the Catalan giants may be forced to consider sending the 26-year-old out on loan should no bidders come forward.
Umtiti is allegedly one of eight players that Barcelona are looking to offload ahead of next season.
