West Ham United are reportedly only willing to offer Jack Wilshere a one-year deal, putting his move to the East London outfit in doubt.
The 26-year-old will bring an end to his decade-long stint in the Arsenal senior side next month when his contract officially expires.
West Ham are understood to be one of a number of sides to have shown an interest in the free agent midfielder, with his £100,000-a-week wages unlikely to prove a problem.
According to The Sun, however, a move is now in jeopardy as Wilshere is unhappy with the deal tabled by the Hammers, which will only run through until next summer.
United want Wilshere to first prove his fitness, but the England international would rather have the security of a long-term contract and may now consider other options.
Everton, Southampton and Juventus are also said to have approached the Arsenal academy product in recent days.
