Andre Santos: "I am focused on staying at Arsenal"

Arsenal defender Andre Santos insists that he wants to stay at the club and fight for his place in Arsene Wenger's team.

Arsenal defender Andre Santos has said that he wants to stay at the club and fight for his place in Arsene Wenger's team.

The 29-year-old, who arrived at the Emirates Stadium from Fenerbahce for a fee of £6.8m in August 2011, has started just three Premier League matches this season.

Despite reports claiming that the Gunners would be willing to sell him in January, Santos insists that he intends to stay put.

He said: "I am focused on staying at Arsenal, winning a title, doing well in the Champions League, and I have three more years of my contract. I'm happy here.

"I'm at a top club in Europe, living in London, my family is well structured, and I'm well adapted. I have much to give at Arsenal and I will still run after that."

Santos has been capped 22 times by Brazil at senior international level.
