Aston Villa have reportedly entered talks with Galatasaray for the transfer of striker Mbaye Diagne.
The Senegal international enjoyed a prolific 2018-19 campaign in front of goal, claiming 30 goals from 29 games with Kasimpasa and then Galatasaray, who won the Super Lig title.
Villa boss Dean Smith is keen to secure extra reinforcements up front in order to put pressure on strikers Jonathan Kodjia and Wesley, who joined the Premier League club for £22m earlier this summer.
According to FutbolArena, Galatasaray negotiator Şükrü Hanedar has arrived in London to flesh out a move for Diagne ahead of Thursday's transfer deadline.
The 27-year-old's excellent form reportedly attracted the attention of Chelsea before the club's transfer ban ruled out the possibility of any deal being done.
Diagne, who is valued at around £12m, came close to joining Al Rayyan in Qatar at the start of the window, but the move fell through.
