Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani emerges as a transfer target for La Liga side Atletico Madrid.

Atletico Madrid have reportedly identified Paris Saint-Germain's Edinson Cavani as a potential replacement for Antoine Griezmann, should they lose the striker this summer.

Atleti's France international has been strongly linked with a summer move to Barcelona of late.

According to Le10Sport, manager Diego Simeone will lodge a bid for the PSG forward if Griezmann moves on at the end of the season.

The Madrid outfit could face competition for Cavani's services, with Chelsea also said to be circling him as a possible replacement for Alvaro Morata, who has been linked with a move back to Juventus.

Cavani is under contract with PSG until 2020.
