Goals from Marco Reus and Mesut Ozil help Germany to a 2-1 win in Austria.

Germany have ensured maximum points from their opening two World Cup qualifiers with a 2-1 win over Austria.

Borussia Dortmund winger Marco Reus broke the deadlock just a minute before half-time to give the hosts a slender advantage at the break.

Joachim Low's men were given the chance to double their lead in the 52nd minute, when Veli Kavlak brought down Thomas Muller inside the area.

Mesut Ozil stepped up to dispatch the resulting spot kick.

Zlatko Junuzovic restored hope for the hosts five minutes later, but they were unable to build on that goal and fell to defeat in their opening game.
