Barcelona team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Ferencvaros

Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's injury and suspension news ahead of Tuesday's Champions League clash with Ferencvaros.

Barcelona will begin their 2020-21 Champions League campaign with a clash against Hungarian side Ferencvaros at Camp Nou on Tuesday night.

The Catalan giants, who were knocked out of last season's European Cup in incredible fashion by Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals, will be determined to make a positive start to their Group G campaign.

Ronald Koeman's side will enter the match off the back of a disappointing result, though, suffering a 1-0 defeat to Getafe in their fourth La Liga fixture of the season on Saturday evening.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barca's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Ferencvaros, who are the reigning Hungarian champions.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Marc-Andre ter Stegen is yet to feature for Barca this season after undergoing a knee operation in August. The Germany international is expected to be back in training before the end of the month, although it is unclear when the club's number one goalkeeper might be available to make a first-team return.

Samuel Umtiti

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: October 20 (vs. Ferencvaros)

Samuel Umtiti, who was strongly linked with a move away from Camp Nou over the summer, is yet to feature this season due to ongoing knee problems. In theory, he could be available for Tuesday's European clash, although it would be a surprise to see the France international in the squad.

Jordi Alba

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Jordi Alba remains on the sidelines after tearing his hamstring in the 1-1 draw with Sevilla before the international break. There have been suggestions that the defender could return before the end of the month, although Barca are yet to provide an official update on the Spaniard's progress.

BARCELONA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Barca have no players suspended for the European contest.
