Spain midfielder Koke has revealed that he was pleased for Barcelona attacker Munir El Haddadi after the 19-year-old made his international debut last night.
Munir was given the final 15 minutes of his side's 5-1 win over Macedonia on Monday in their opening qualifier for Euro 2016.
"Munir? The coaches have always said we need to look at the players below and we are happy with him," the Atletico Madrid midfielder told reporters after the match.
"Maybe the U21 side can be considered a branch of the national team, all of us who have ever played with the U21s have dreamed about being and staying here.
"I had that dream and I was able to fulfill it."
Munir had been eligible to represent Morocco through his father, but will now play his international football for Spain.
