Luis Suarez will reportedly return to training at Barcelona on Wednesday as he works towards featuring against Valencia later this month.
The Uruguayan suffered an injury to his Achilles tendon during Barcelona's opening game of the season against Athletic Bilbao, which they lost 1-0.
In his absence, Barcelona have suffered a sketchy start to the 2019-20 campaign, claiming a big win over Real Betis before only managing a 2-2 draw with Osasuna ahead of the international break.
However, according to AS, the Catalan side can expect Suarez to return for the club's meeting with Valencia on September 14, with the striker rejoining training this week.
Ernesto Valverde will also be buoyed by the full fitness of Lionel Messi, who was not risked from the start against Betis last month due to a calf injury.
Suarez, who moved to Camp Nou in 2014, recently spoke of how he did not want to leave his home 'for weeks' following the club's 4-0 humiliation at the hands of Liverpool in the Champions League.
