Barcelona are reportedly in advanced talks with Valencia over a summer deal for Rodrigo Moreno.
The Spanish champions are believed to be seeking a new centre-forward to challenge and potentially ultimately replace Luis Suarez in the final third of the field.
According to Diario Sport, Ernesto Valverde's side are closing in on a swoop for Rodrigo, who has a £106m release clause in his contract at the Mestalla.
The 28-year-old scored 15 times and contributed 10 assists in 51 appearances for Los Che during the 2018-19 campaign.
A 17-time Spain international, Rodrigo started his career with Real Madrid but did not make a first-team appearance for Los Blancos ahead of a switch to Benfica in 2010.
The attacker also turned out for Bolton Wanderers in the Premier League during the the 2010-11 season.
