Barcelona are reportedly progressing in their pursuit of Thiago Silva by agreeing personal terms with the Paris Saint-Germain defender.
The Brazil international has been heavily linked with a switch to Camp Nou this summer, with coach Tito Vilanova said to be keen on adding some steel to his back four during the off-season.
Silva recently admitted that he had spoken with Vilanova following Les Parisiens' Champions League exit to the Catalans in April and, while the Spanish giants face a challenge in convincing the French champions to part company with their prized asset, Diario Sport claim that the club have agreed personal terms with the player.
It is thought that the defender would have to accept a pay-cut in order to join the Spanish champions this summer, but the 28-year-old would be compensated with performance-related bonuses as well as having the security of a five-year deal.
The former Milan stalwart sealed a big-money switch to Parc de Princes 12 months ago, and has played a prominent role in the French giants securing their first Ligue 1 title for 19 years last season.
