New Everton boss Marco Silva is reportedly closing in on making Barcelona defender Lucas Digne his first signing since taking charge at Goodison Park.
The Toffees have been linked with a number of players since the Portuguese replaced Sam Allardyce on June 1, including numerous full-backs, only to so far fire blanks.
Having already missed out on a couple of targets, however, The Sun claims that Silva is optimistic of landing Digne before the transfer window closes.
Digne has played understudy to Jordi Alba since arriving at Camp Nou in a £14m deal two years ago, and the same publication suggests that an identical fee will be required for Barcelona to offload.
Speaking last week, the 21-cap France international's agent insisted that 'there is no rush' to push through a transfer.
