Barcelona midfielder Xavi has insisted that he will not leave the club at the end of the season.
The Spaniard made his 700th appearance for the Catalan outfit in their 3-0 win over Malaga on Sunday evening, but he has been widely linked with a move to the MLS.
However, such talk has been denied by the 34-year-old, who has revealed that he wants to 'finish his contract' with Barcelona.
"I've been here for many years, there are a lot of memories and we've won a lot of titles with this generation of footballers, one look back and you realise that we've really enjoyed ourselves," he told the club's official website.
"I think we all saw a great Barca team here, we're on form, we enjoyed ourselves and we feel good. I'm not going to Qatar or New York, I want to finish my contract with Barca. I'm staying here, I feel important and useful."
Xavi has been with the Spanish side since 1991.
