Barnsley boss David Flitcroft praises the determination of his players during Saturday's 0-0 draw at Nottingham Forest in the Championship.

Barnsley manager David Flitcroft has praised his players following Saturday's goalless draw at Nottingham Forest in the Championship.

The Tykes rode their luck at the City Ground as Forest hit the woodwork four times, but they managed to hold out for a point in their battle against relegation.

"When I realised it wasn't a crossbar challenge and that it was a game of football I have to say that the point might go a long way to securing our safety," Flitcroft told Sky Sports News.

"They don't know when they are beaten this team and although a lot of people have predicted that we would go down we will continue to battle for the next two games."

Saturday's draw has seen Barnsley stay in the relegation zone on goal difference.
