Jason Lowe "confident" of Blackburn survival

Blackburn defender Jason Lowe remains optimistic that the club can pull clear of the relegation zone this season.

Blackburn midfielder Jason Lowe has stated that he is "confident" that the club will survive in the Premier League this season.

The 20-year-old, who has been deployed in defence in recent weeks, feels that Rovers have enough to pull clear of the relegation zone.

"Blackburn Rovers is the main thing that happens in the town and we'll do everything we can to make sure we stay in this league," Lowe told the Lancashire Telegraph.

"I'm confident we can do that, we just have to keep producing performances and take our chances, and try to get clean sheets on the board. That's what's going to get us out of there."

Lowe joined the Blackburn youth system in 2003.
