Half-Time Report: Millwall lead at Bournemouth

Two early goals put Millwall ahead at Bournemouth but the hosts make it 2-1 just before the break.

Millwall are 2-1 ahead against Bournemouth at half time in their Championship clash this afternoon.

A quick start from the visitors gave them a two-goal lead, before the Cherries came into the game as the half wore on.

Millwall took the lead after just six minutes when Liam Trotter and Martyn Waghorn combined, allowing the latter to break forward and slot the ball home.

They doubled their advantage shortly afterwards when the same two players linked up. This time, though, it was the Trotters who went clear before chipping the ball over the onrushing goalkeeper.

Bournemouth came into the game more after that but they only had a couple of long-range strikes from Lewis Grabban to show for their efforts.

The hosts did get themselves back into the game just before the break when Ryan Fraser found space on the edge of the box and curled the ball past the goalkeeper.
