Bournemouth are reportedly content with Andoni Iraola's position as manager despite the club's poor start to the new season.

Bournemouth reportedly have no immediate plans to dismiss head coach Andoni Iraola following the club's poor start of the season.

The Cherries recruited Iraola in the summer after they took the decision to sack Gary O'Neil, who guided the South-coast side to the safety of 15th position.

Iraola bolstered his reputation during his time with Rayo Vallecano, where he won promotion to La Liga, before leading the Spanish club to consecutive 12th-placed finishes.

The Spaniard, who opted against renewing his deal with Rayo, has struggled to replicate the success that he enjoyed with Rayo during the early stages of his Premier League career.

Iraola is still waiting for his first league victory, with his opening eight matches producing three draws and five defeats.

The Cherries went into the international break off the back of three consecutive defeats against Brighton & Hove Albion, Arsenal and Everton.

As one of two teams yet to win in the Premier League this season, Bournemouth are currently languishing in the relegation zone.

While Iraola has endured a difficult start to life in the Premier League, talkSPORT have stated that Bournemouth are relaxed over their manager's future.

The report suggests that Iraola's position is not under any immediate threat despite Bournemouth's winless start to the Premier League season.

Bournemouth's hierarchy were aware that the club may struggle in the opening stages of the campaign due to a tricky fixture list.

Iraola's only two victories as Cherries boss took place in the EFL Cup against Championship sides Swansea City and Stoke City.

The 41-year-old will look to claim his Premier League victory on Saturday when Bournemouth face a Wolverhampton Wanderers side managed by their former manager O'Neil.
