Callum Wilson "over the moon" with Bournemouth hat-trick

Callum Wilson expresses his delight after his hat-trick helps Bournemouth claim a 4-3 win over West Ham United on Saturday.

Callum Wilson has revealed his delight after his hat-trick helped Bournemouth claim their first-ever Premier League win on Saturday.

Wilson netted a trio of strikes as Eddie Howe's newly-promoted side beat West Ham United 4-3 to pick up their first points of the season, and the forward was delighted with the performance.

The Cherries striker told Sky Sports News: "I'm over the moon. It was a great team performance, and it's great to get off the mark with three points and I'm delighted for the team.

"I was confident [with the penalty] and when you've scored two goals already, you're confident you can score, you know.

"Today's performance showed that we have a few things to touch up on [defensively], but we've shown people today we can score goals in this league. We showed great character today, and although we've conceded, we've shown we can get the points."

Howe's side travel to Hartlepool in the League Cup on Tuesday.
