Mark Warburton 'to leave Brentford in summer'

Brentford manager Mark Warburton is expected to leave Griffin Park at the end of the season despite leading the club to the cusp of the Premier League.

Brentford manager Mark Warburton is expected to leave the Championship high-flyers at the end of the season.

Warburton's future at Griffin Park has suddenly been the subject of intense speculation after the club failed to refute reports that he was on his way out.

That is despite the 52-year-old former city trader leading them from League One to the verge of the Premier League since his appointment in 2013.

Sky Sports News claims that Brentford will not offer Warburton an extension to his rolling contract in the summer and have already spoken to Rayo Vallecano coach Paco Jemez about the possibility of taking over.

Warburton has recently been linked with the vacancies at top-flight clubs Queens Park Rangers and Aston Villa.
