Bruno Saltor has expressed his happiness after he was handed the captain's armband during Brighton & Hove Albion's match against Burnley yesterday afternoon.
In the absence of Gordon Greer, the Spaniard was chosen as the ideal candidate to take on the responsibility by manager Gus Poyet - a role that Bruno has described as a "pleasure".
"I am very happy as it is a big responsibility, it is my first year here and people are happy for me as well," he told the club's official website.
"The gaffer asked me before the game and it was no problem for me to do it and it was a pleasure to have the added responsibility."
The Seagulls went on to win the match 1-0.
