Bristol City boss Steve Cotterill has revealed that Nottingham Forest midfielder Simon Gillet will remain with the club for the remainder of the season.
The experienced midfielder initially joined on a short-term loan deal in November, but he has now committed his future to the Robins until May.
"We've spoken to Nottingham Forest and they've agreed that we can extend the deal for the rest of the campaign," Cotterill told the club's official website.
"Central midfield is where we feel we are a little light and actually somewhere we'd like to strengthen. Simon's a great professional and a tidy, intelligent footballer. He reads and understands the game well."
Gillet, 28, joined Forest from Doncaster Rovers in 2012.
