Inter Milan have reportedly set their sights on signing Cardiff City's Gary Medel in the summer transfer window.
Medel's stock has risen due to his impressive displays in a central defensive role at the World Cup for Chile, who were knocked out in the last 16 by hosts Brazil on the weekend.
According to the Daily Mail, Inter are confident of persuading Medel to move to the San Siro after suffering relegation from the Premier League at the end of his first season with Cardiff.
The 26-year-old was a club-record £11m signing when he completed a four-year deal with the Bluebirds last summer.
Valencia were reported to have had a loan bid rejected by Cardiff, while Besiktas have also been linked with a move for the former Sevilla midfielder.
